Dr. Krutka is Hospice and Palliative Medicine(HPM) physician with more than 10 years of clinical, regulatory, leadership and compliance experience. In 2012, she completed a HPM fellowship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She spent the first part of her career in Western Colorado practicing full spectrum HPM with a focus on program development for a hospital-based Palliative Care consultation service. She received HopeWest’s Pioneer Spirit Award for Creativity and Passion. She also received Saint Mary's Circle of life award for the difference the consultation team made in patient's lives.
In 2015, she moved to Salt Lake City, UT to join Intermountain Healthcare as the Medical Director Palliative Care program. She worked at the system level to develop a home-based program which was implemented across the state of Utah. She was also a consultant to Cerner Corporation to develop a Palliative Care solution including identification software and an automated consultation trigger.
In 2019 she moved into the business side of healthcare after becoming Medical Director of Palliative Care at Cambia Health Solutions. She led their regional health plans participation in The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation's VBID Hospice Pilot. She designed and executed one of the first Medicare Advantage Hospice programs in the country. She also transformed the operations of the Personalized Care Support Program, increasing the number of lives touched.
She is currently a physician executive for PalliConsult, which assists Hospice leaders, payers, and other organizations infuse innovation into Serious Illness Care. She resides in the Salt Lake City area with her family.
