The INN Between is Utah's first hospice house for the homeless. Our mission is to provide a safe and comfortable place where Utah's homeless men and women can experience the end of life with dignity, receiving professional hospice services in the company of people who care.
Homelessness is a circumstance, not a character trait. We believe that everyone deserves to die with dignity, and we envision a community where no one has to die alone on the streets.
The INN Between offers a place where homeless individuals can receive access to professional hospice care, just like those of us who have a fixed address. We provide clean clothing and bedding, healthy meals and snacks, personal care items, laundry, social activities, emotional and spiritual support and other supportive services. We help our clients reconnect with estranged family members before it's too late.
After one of our residents dies, we hold a community memorial service, post an obituary, and a place their name on a plaque in our Memorial Garden.
The INN Between opened on August 17, 2015, and within a month, our 12 bedroom home was almost full. Since then, we have helped seven people experience death with dignity. We have provided over 2,500 medically appropriate housing days to 30 individuals plus six caregivers and three dogs.
Many employers offer a matching gifts program. Speak with your HR department to see if your donation qualifies for a company match!
Thank you for your support! Together, we are creating a community where no one has to die alone on the streets.
